I am a Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate) and Canadian Certified Counsellor. I support individuals and couples who want to improve their relationships, and adults, teens, and children who experience anxiety, depression, effects of trauma, or significant life changes. I also enjoy working with professors and students, immigrants, neurodiverse, and 2SLGBTQ+ clients. My counselling style is gentle and compassionate, geared to help clients gain a deeper understanding of their struggles, cultivate self-acceptance, and foster personal and relational growth. My approach is primarily attachment-based, relational, depth-oriented, and trauma-informed. When working with children, I rely on sand play and mindfulness-based interventions to help them express and process their thoughts and feelings. I also have training in the developmental model of couples therapy, which informs my work with couples who want to improve their communication and deepen their connection. Having lived in several different countries before settling in Canada seventeen years ago, I am culturally responsive and offer counselling in English and Ukrainian. Inspired by the strength of Indigenous, Black, and 2SLGBTQ+ people, I am committed to building inclusive communities that foster health and wellness.

What I love about counselling:

I’m passionate about social change and equally fascinated by the workings of the human mind and the heart. These passions led me to the study of politics, philosophy, and eventually psychotherapy. I see counselling as a way of making a difference in people’s lives through meaningful connections. I was also drawn to the mental health field because I have benefited from counselling on numerous occasions as a client. I have experienced first hand the transformative effect of good therapy and feel honoured to be able to contribute to this form of personal and social change.
