THERAPY, CONSULTATION

I believe couples counselling can be helpful at any stage of a relationship, whether it be starting from the beginning (e.g., creating a solid foundation), working through a transition (e.g., pre/post marriage, children, job changes, loss, etc.), or seeking to repair after challenges emerge (e.g., affair, co-parenting after separation, separation or reconnection). I understand that starting couple/family therapy can feel scary or overwhelming; because of this, I place a high priority on helping each partner feel welcome, understood, and valued.

In my individual work, I continue to draw from my EFT training while also using a blend of Narrative and Existential Therapies. I support my clients to feel a sense of power and control over their problems, develop confidence in decision-making, safely experience emotions, and improve communication in their relationships.

I primarily work with those looking to improve their relationships, access their emotions safely, and navigate difficult transitions in life. I have prior experience working with military veterans & first responders, PTSD, grief & loss, adolescents, new or expecting parents, co-parents, and couples & families.

What I love about counselling:

I enjoy being a counsellor because I get the honour of helping others find meaning and connection that may have otherwise been lost forever. Witnessing couples reconnect right before my eyes is something that brings me a strong sense of purpose and enjoyment.
